Keith Giamportone, AIA, LEED AP is a Partner at BJAC, a 30 person architecture firm in Raleigh, NC and the Director of Design and Director of Sustainability for the firm.
He has presented at UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, Meredith College, Lehigh University and at the Ninth Symposium for Healthcare Conference. Keith has been a critic at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Lehigh University. Keith has taught at the Yestermorrow Design/ Build School many times and most recently taught a Sustainable Design course. He has worked on numerous education science projects both at BJAC and with previous employers, including Harvard Medical School, University of Pennsylvania Chemistry Building, UNC Chapel Hill Bioinformatics Building and UNC Chapel Hill Allied Health Building, North Carolina State University Polk Hall addition, North Carolina State University Bioprotection and UNC Pembroke Science Building. Mr. Giamportone has led the effort at BJAC to bring green design to buildings in Healthcare, K-12, University and Museum projects.
Keith received his Bachelor of Art and Design and Master of Architecture degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979 and 1984 and was awarded the Chamberlain Prize for Design for the Master of Architecture program. He is a member of the US Green Building Council and serves on the Board of the Triangle Chapter as Treasurer.
